GRAFTON, Ohio - State troopers in Ohio say an ambulance taking a man to the hospital crashed into a car at an intersection, killing an 82-year-old motorist.
The State Highway Patrol says Zygmunt Pacyna died at the scene of Wednesday's accident in Grafton Township, about 25 miles southeast of Cleveland.
Three people in the ambulance - the driver, patient and an emergency medical technician - were taken to hospitals and released after treatment.
The Chronicle-Telegram of Elyria (eh-LEER'-ee-uh) reports the patient originally sought medical attention after falling from his roof.
Patrol Lt. Travis Hughes told The Morning Journal of Lorain that the ambulance had its lights and siren on when it collided with Pacyna's car.
The patrol is still investigating.
