LAGRANGE, Ky. - Emergency officials say a man is trapped inside a collapsed Oldham County structure.

The 25-year-old man was working on removing parts of the building Tuesday morning when it fell on him, trapping him under wood and metal.

Maj. Keith Smith with LaGrange Fire and Rescue told The Courier-Journal that the man is alert and talking with emergency crews who are clearing the debris.

Smith says the collapse occurred at a vacant concrete manufacturing facility near LaGrange. Crews were called to the scene at 8:24 a.m. EDT.

A second man was also working in the structure when it fell, but officials say he did not appear to suffer any injuries.
