HazMat Situation Forces Evacuation of California Medical Center

Urgent care area at Sharp-Rees Stealy Mira Mesa Medical Center shut down

SAN DIEGO - Officials report that a hazmat team has responded to Sharp-Rees Stealey Mira Mesa Medical Center for a growing number of people feeling sick.

NBC San Diego states that the incident happened around 9:30 a.m. PT on Tuesday when a person at the hospital said they felt sick.

More people reported feeling sick leading the hospital to shut down urgent care and evacuate other areas of the building, including doctors offices.
