Police tell WGRZ-TV that the accident occurred around 12:30 a.m. on an inbound lane on the Skyway, a bridge that carries Route 5 over the Buffalo River near where it empties into Lake Erie.
The TV station reports all four people injured in the crash have been taken to Erie County Medical Center. Two suffered serious injuries, while the other two have non-life-threatening injuries.
The accident closed the Skyway for about two hours.
