MENANDS, N.Y. - A 2-month-old girl has died after she, her mother and her brother were hit by a car while waiting at a bus stop outside of Albany.
Police in suburban Colonie said Monday that Egypt Marie Redbine died from injuries sustained in the Saturday morning accident.
Police said Redbine's 2-year-old brother had darted on to a road around 9:15 a.m. Saturday. The mother, carrying young Egypt in her arms, chased after the boy and all three were hit by an oncoming car.
Police say neither speed nor alcohol was a factor in the accident.
