INDIANAPOLIS - Authorities say a furnace explosion burned a worker at a Rolls-Royce factory in Indianapolis.
The furnace that heats metal exploded about 7:30 a.m. Monday inside the factory on the city's south side. Wayne Township fire Capt. Courtney Rice tells The Indianapolis Star that the worker suffered first- and second-degree burns but was able to walk to an ambulance. Rice said the explosion caused a small fire that was quickly extinguished. The explosion's cause wasn't immediately known and no one else was hurt.
