ELDON, Mo. (AP) — The driver of a passenger vehicle has been flown from the scene of a mid-Missouri crash involving a School of the Osage bus.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that the accident happened around 4:20 p.m. Tuesday. The patrol says the school bus was in the median crossover of U.S. 54, and its driver failed to yield to the passenger vehicle.
The passenger vehicle's 18-year-old driver sustained serious injuries in the ensuing crash and was flown to University Hospital in Columbia. A passenger in the teen's vehicle sustained moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach.
The Lake Sun Leader in Camdenton reported that no students were on the bus at the time and the driver wasn't injured.
