CPR Survivors Celebrated

I wanted to share a PowerPoint review of last night’s CPR Survivor Banquet held at Sea World during the ECCU (Emergency Cardiac Care Update Conference to recognize the tremendous contribution of CPR, the three physicians responsible for its development (“discovery” – much by happenstance of scientific research and clinical procedures being tried) and fifty “Survivors” who were present to celebrate their second chance at life.

In particular, I wanted to share the stories of the two youngest cardiac arrest survivors presented last night at the ECCU Conference Survivors’ Dinner at Sea World.

Two of the three physicians who “discovered” CPR (Dr. James Jude and Dr Guy Knickerboucker) were there and these two adorable survivors walked through the crowd, up onto the stage and handed a red rose to each of them.

When asked what they wanted to say to the physician who invented (discovered) CPR, 8-year-old Olivia simply said “Thank You.” Little 2-year-old Kinlee, when asked what she wanted to say, softly (and preciously) said, “THANN” YOU !!!

There wasn’t a dry eye in the house!
