BOSTON -- A Boston paramedic accused of stealing scores of pain killers and sedatives was hit with 73 indictments today in Suffolk Superior Court where prosecutors said officials had found more than 100 vials he allegedly tampered with over several months in 2011.

Brian Benoit, 40, was released on his own recognizance following his arraignment where Clerk Magistrate Gary Wilson ordered him not to work as an EMT or paramedic while the case is pending.
