FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) — Three people were hurt when a car crashed into the emergency room at a central New Jersey hospital this weekend.
But authorities say none of the injuries were considered life-threatening.
Freehold Township police say 58-year-old Paul Sergeant of Upper Freehold Township was driving 57-year-old Kathleen Clark to the emergency room at CentraState Medical Center when his vehicle went through the site's windows shortly after 8 p.m. Friday.
Sergeant, Clark and a 20-year-old Freehold woman who was inside the emergency room all suffered minor injuries in the accident and were treated at the hospital. Several other people also were inside the emergency room at the time, but no other injuries were reported.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
