ATLANTA (AP) — Authorities say 19 people were taken to the hospital after a city bus ran off the road and struck a tree on Atlanta's southwest side.

Atlanta fire officials say the passengers and the driver sustained minor injuries in the Monday morning crash. Authorities say they were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment.

MARTA spokeswoman Cara Hodgson says the bus driver was not issued a citation in the crash. She said the wreck involved no other vehicles.

The wreck happened about 7:30 a.m.
