NEW YORK - Authorities say an ambulance rushing a patient to a hospital has struck and killed a pedestrian in Brooklyn.
Police Detective Marc Nell said the Emergency Medical Services vehicle hit the woman early Tuesday.
The pedestrian was taken to a hospital. Fire Department spokesman Matt Coppeto confirmed her death. The accident occurred at the junction between Bay Parkway and Belt Parkway.
Her name wasn't immediately released.
