Police Begin EMS Transport Investigation

D.C. Police Chief Cathy Lanier says a criminal investigation is under way into a senior paramedic's decision not to transport a 2-year-old girl who later died. Lanier said Thursday that a preliminary review determined an investigation into criminal conduct or negligence was warranted.
