MELVILLE,N.Y. -- The Melville (N.Y.) Fire Department was called to the White Post Farms aftera 19-year-old female employee suffered a fractured legwhen a holiday train came off the track and pinned her leg.
The Nov. 25 accident occurred on a Sunday afternoon during the farm's Holiday Extravaganza, which featured Santa Claus. Claus offered the patient his support.
Chief Dave Kaplan led three ambulances and a first responder vehicle on scene.The patient was transported toHuntingtonHospital by the Melville Rescue Squad. No other injuries were reported.
