WASHINGTON, D.C. (April 19, 2011) – The Congressional Fire Services Institute (CSFI), a nonprofit, nonpartisan policy institute, will host its 24th Annual National Fire and Emergency Services Dinner on April 26 at the Washington Hilton. The Dinner is the closing event of a two-day program for fire service leaders in Washington, D.C. involving meetings with Members of Congress and administration officials on the needs of local first responders.
Recognition will paid to fire service officials and fire and EMS departments that have taken leadership roles in improving public safety. One of the four awards highlighting the evening is the CFSI and MedicAlert Foundation Excellence in Fire Service-Based EMS Award to be presented during the dinner. This award recognizes fire departments – career, volunteer and combination – for outstanding best practices in emergency medical services.

Date/Time: April 26, 2012, Dinner begins at 7:00 p.m.
Awards Program begins at 9:30 p.m.
Note: A Reception precedes the Dinner and will feature the award winners. Members of Congress from the relevant State/Congressional Districts have been invited.
