Louisville House Fire Claims 6th Victim

| Wednesday, July 8, 2009

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - A sixth person has died from a pre-dawn house fire on the Fourth of July in Louisville.

Jefferson County deputy coroner Rita Taylor says 7-year-old Anthony Seargent died Tuesday afternoon at Kosair Children's Hospital. The cause of death was smoke inhalation.

The fire that broke out early Saturday has killed four children and two adults.

A Louisville Fire and Rescue spokesman has said it could take weeks for investigators to determine a cause of the fire in the two-story house.

The fire happened on the 20th anniversary of another horrific house fire in Louisville that claimed the lives of six children from multiple families.
