Every year,JEMS showcases recently released products designed to help EMS providers do their jobs more efficiently and safely. This March, theJEMS product review team spent two days combing the exhibit hall at the 24th annual EMS Today Conference & Exposition in Baltimore. The team of seasoned field providers, educators and EMS procurement specialists met with 227 exhibitors, reviewing products recently introduced to our industry and asking about product design, rationale, function and practical application for prehospital medicine. Baby on Board
STAT Baby, the 18-lb. manikin from Simulaids, replicates the size and weight of a nine month old. Multiple ALS and BLS procedures can be performed on STAT Baby, including ventilation, intubation, LMA insertion, defibrillation, IV, IO, IM, PICC line and others. Such conditions as laryngeal spasm, tongue edema and pneumothorax are also available for scenario-based training on this feature-packed manikin.
