Many paramedics remember when they had only two controlled substances in the drug inventory. But, now that new and improved drugs areavailable, a larger lock box is necessary. TheMedVault Drug Locker fromKnox Company is made from heavy aluminum and has a secure electronic keypad. The keypad can be programmed to require one or two PIN codes to gain access, or it can be programmed by time for units that donÌt operate 24/7. A manual key may be used in the event of power failure. Up to 25,000 opening events are recorded for PC download via a USB port.
