OSHA now requires that EMS workers wear an ANSI-certified safety vest for visibility while working on federally funded roadways. So what kind of vest should you wear if you have an MCI on a roadway?AllMedÌs Commander Safety Vest. ItÌs an ANSI 107-2004 Class II certified safety vest with a variety of special pockets for use during an MCI. The vest is made of waterproof 500-denier-coated nylon and has mesh-covered ventilation slots, tool pockets, a radio pocket, dual microphone tabs and two roomy inside pockets. Best of all, clear vinyl window pockets on the front and back hold reflective laminated title panels, which can be customized with your agency name and/or incident command title.
