One of the latest LED flashlights has public safety at heart. Pelican and the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) partnered to design a flashlight that has become the standard issued to LAPD officers. ThePelican 7060 LED Lightemploys a dual switch thatallows the light to be activated by either the body-mounted slide switch or a tail-mounted push button switch. The dual switches, which include a momentary mode, allow the user to gripthe light in several positions and still controlits activation. The lightincorporates rechargeable lithium-ion batteries for maximum brightness, and the polymer body makes for a lightweight light.
