12 Injured on Buffalo Highway

| Tuesday, August 18, 2009

BUFFALO, N.Y. - A dozen people are recovering from injuries suffered when their van rolled over on a Buffalo highway.

Authorities say the Ford Club Wagon was traveling in the westbound lanes of Route 33 Monday evening when its driver went too fast on an exit ramp and the van overturned.

All of the passengers suffered injuries and seven of them were taken to Buffalo hospitals. Emergency officials say none of the injuries are considered life-threatening.

The 12 people in the van ranged in age from preadolescent children to those in their early 20s.

The ramp leading to Route 198 was closed for nearly 90 minutes after the crash.
