NH Worker Hit with 4,000 Volts

MANCHESTER, N.H. - Police in Manchester, N.H., say an explosion in a manhole has sent a worker to the hospital.



The worker was a city water works employee who was cutting cables when the explosion happened Monday at about 8:15 a.m. at South Commercial and Granite streets, WMUR-TV reported. Officials are checking gas lines.



No one was evacuated, but power outages were reported in the area.
