Chris Mierek, MD, EMT-B, began his medical career in 1993 as an army medic. In 1997 he completed his EMT-P and worked in the upstate area for 12 years. Currently, he is a first-year Emergency Medicine resident at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Wash.
