Chad Brocato, CFO, DHSc, JD
Chad Brocato is the former fire chief for Deerfield Beach Fire Rescue where he rose through every rank to earn the top administrative position. Following a merger with the Broward Sheriff’s Office Department of Fire Rescue and Emergency Services in October of 2011, Chad became the District Fire Chief for Deerfield Beach. He has a passion for EMS and fire education with 20 years of experience as an educator, teaching at community colleges, universities, and in conferences. Mr. Brocato has earned a Master of Medical Science degree, a Doctor of Health Science degree, and is currently earning a Juris Doctor degree from Nova Southeastern University. He is also an internationally published author, nationally recognized speaker and a current member of the JEMS Editorial Board.
