call-to-action-373

In Baltimore County, Md., crews from Pikesville Volunteer Fire Company Squad 322 and Tower 323 extricate a woman who was pinned inside a car that sustained significant damage on the Outer Loop of Interstate 695. The call came in as a reported entrapment, and the first-arriving unit, EMS 5, confirmed one patient trapped in a passenger vehicle that had been struck by two tractor trailers near an interstate on-ramp. Squad 322 and Tower 323 crews worked with other units to extricate the patient. After she was freed, Medic 2 initiated care, and the patient was flown via Maryland State Police Medevac helicopter to the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore.
