Bolingbrook Police Lieutenant Michael Rompa says the man died shortly before 6 a.m. Thursday.

The man was on the plane when it crashed half a mile from Clow Airport in Bolingbrook on Wednesday. He was hospitalized at Loyola University Medical Center with burns.

A woman also on board the plane died when it careened into a bank parking lot. They were the only two people on board. Authorities haven't released their names or said which one was the pilot.
