Vidacare Corporation Expands Sales Force by Nearly 30 Percent to Support International Commercialization

(SAN ANTONIO) –Vidacare Corporation has increased its sales force by approximately 30 percent to support international commercialization of the company’s products directly through to the end user.  The company has hired over 20 sales professionals to represent Vidacare product systems, including the EZ-IO® Intraosseous Vascular Access System and the OnControl® Bone Marrow and Bone Access Systems, in targeted international markets.

These new additions to Vidacare’s sales force are responsible for direct customer interaction in a wide range of international markets including Germany, Benelux, France, the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia. Overseeing the international sales team is Nigel Bark, who joined Vidacare as Vice President, International, in November 2012.
This milestone signifies the ongoing momentum of the company’s strategic growth plan that commenced in 2010, when Vidacare transitioned from a distributor-based sales platform to a direct sales force for all US efforts.  The company will continue to build out its direct sales platform to new countries as it grows.
“Vidacare is committed to our customers and the patients who benefit from our technology, and this growth initiative enables us to more directly educate health care professionals worldwide and promote adoption of our life saving technologies on a global scale,” said Mark Mellin, President and CEO of Vidacare.
Established in 2001, Vidacare Corporation is the pioneer of a broad technology platform for accessing the intraosseous (inside the bone) space. Current products include the EZ-IO® Intraosseous Vascular Access System, the OnControl® Bone Marrow System and the OnControl® Bone Access System. Applications include vascular access, emergency and disaster medicine, hematology/oncology and spinal procedures. Privately held, the company is based in San Antonio, Texas, and its products are marketed in over 50 countries worldwide.
