AMR Honors Employees at American Ambulance Association Event

GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo. - American Medical Response (AMR) is very proud to announce fourteen of our paramedics, EMTs and dispatchers from across the USA will be honored at the American Ambulance Association (AAA) Stars of Life Awards ceremony, March 18-20 in Washington D.C.

AMR Stars of Life 2013

These awards are the highest honor caregivers and other EMS professionals can receive. Each one represents an incredible story of service and dedication in every area of the EMS industry, and is selected by their peers in an extensive nomination process.

AMR President Bill Sanger said, "In a field where heroism and total commitment is an everyday occurrence, EMS professionals often go unrecognized. Saving lives and serving their communities is just part of the job. So it's very rewarding when we can single out some of the many incredible people out there for special recognition."

Emergency medical services are an essential part of keeping our communities safe, and AMR is proud to be an industry leader, paring the resources and experience of a national operation with the focus and passion of a community based organization. We are the EMS partner of choice in 2,100 communities nationwide in 40 states and the District of Columbia.

The award recipients will several days in the nation's Capital where they will join their fellow Stars for a special awards banquet. In addition, Star honorees will meet with congressional staff members to discuss emergency health care issues on Capitol Hill and were treated to a tour of Washington, D.C.

AMR employees from nearly every corner of the United States were among this year's honorees. For a complete list, and additional information about each Star can be found on the AMR website at http://www.amr.net/News/Events.aspx.
