New York Paramedic Program Guarantees Job

COBLESKILL, N.Y. -- Students in SUNY Cobleskill’s Paramedic program have a new incentive to excel.

Graduates of the program, which offers one-year certificates and two-year associate degrees, will be guaranteed a job as a paramedic with Cooperstown Medical Transport following graduation, provided they pass the state certification exam with an 85 percent or better score, according to a recently signed agreement. Paramedic majors will also have the opportunity to work part-time for Cooperstown Medical Transport as EMTs while enrolled at the State University College of Agriculture and Technology at Cobleskill.
