20 Students Transported after SUV Hits Pennsylvania School Bus

WRIGHTSVILLE, Pa. (AP) — Emergency officials say about 20 students have been taken to hospitals for evaluation after a sport utility vehicle crashed into the back of a school bus in central Pennsylvania.

The crash happened Friday morning in Lower Windsor Township and involved a bus carrying Eastern York School District students. Police say none of the injuries appear life-threatening.

Yorkana Community Volunteer Fire Co. Chief Mark Enders says the motorist appeared to have hit the bus at speed while it was stopped to pick up students. His 17-year-old son and 14-year-old daughter were on board.

The driver of the SUV was also taken to a hospital.
