New Littmann® Stethoscopes by 3M™ Now Available Online at theEMSstore.com

Coatesville, PA (theEMSstore.com) June 7, 2012: theEMSstore.com announces the addition of the newest 3M™ Littmann® Stethoscopes. The Littmann acoustical superiority, innovative design and exceptional performance are featured in the newest stethoscopes now available at theEMSstore.com.

NEW Littmann 3100 Electronic Stethoscope: Littmann’s ambient noise reducing stethoscope allows you to hear with confidence. The Model 3000 Series makes it easier to detect S3 gallops, aortic regurgitation murmurs and abnormal lung sounds versus non-electronic, cardiology-type stethoscopes. Littmann’s proprietary ambient noise reduction technology allows you to experience exceptional sound quality without filtering out critical body sounds thanks to 85% reduction of distracting background noise. Get extra listening power when a heart, lung or body sound is especially faint–such as in an obese patient or when clothing restricts your listening experience–with its ability to amplify sounds 24-times and state-of-the-art sound sensor.

With an incredibly easy-to-use interface, the 3100 features a backlit LCD display and auto-on technology that starts automatically when the diaphragm is pressed to a patient. Powered by a single AA battery, the 3100 is also compatible with lithium batteries if additional battery life is desired. The rugged design delivers years of trouble-free operation; it withstands accidental drops to the floor and impacts against bed rails and door frames. Choose from five tube colors.

NEW Littmann Classic II Infant Stethoscope, 28”: Infants are precious and need specialized equipment, and Littmann took the time and care to develop this special, high-quality stethoscope for smaller bodies. Designed for high-acoustic sensitivity, this two-sided model with a traditional bell/diaphragm chest piece is sized and acoustically precise for infant patients. The solid stainless steel chest piece features a ¾-inch open bell on one side coupled with a traditional diaphragm on the other side. An angled and anatomically correct headset creates an excellent acoustic seal and uses patented 3M Littmann Snap-Tight Soft Sealing Eartips for a comfortable fit. This is available with a rainbow finish chest piece and Caribbean blue tubing OR in five colors with a silver chest piece.

NEW Littmann Classic II Pediatric Stethoscope, 28”: Littmann knows pediatric patients deserve your best care and attention. This two-sided model has a traditional bell/diaphragm chest piece designed, sized and acoustically precise for pediatric patients. The solid stainless steel chest piece features a one-inch traditional bell combined with a patented floating diaphragm. A child’s comfort is assured with a rubber non-chill rim and diaphragm versus the traditional metal diaphragm. All this comes in a pint-sized package available with a rainbow finish chest piece and Caribbean blue tubing OR in five colors with a silver chest piece.

NEW Littmann 2138 Classic II S.E. Teaching Stethoscope, 40”: Littmann takes teaching heart and lung sounds to a new level with their Classic II S.E. Teaching Stethoscope. Know that you are teaching with a quality, educationally-designed stethoscope to give your students more confidence working with patients. It is difficult to learn and differentiate between unfamiliar sounds while training; with the dual headset, the instructor can educate while the student listens and learns placement. A 40-inch length and two connected headsets allow simultaneous auscultation so you can listen and learn as a team, making this model an ideal educational tool. Convenient “tunable technology” allows both student and instructor to hear low- or high-frequency sounds by applying light or firm pressure on one side of the stethoscope. The other side can be used as a traditional bell. Available in black/burgundy tube coloring to distinguish between student and instructor.

NEW Littmann: 2139 Master Classic Teaching Stethoscope, 40”: Your passion to properly and effectively educate healthcare personnel transcends the classroom. You owe it to yourself and your student’s patients to use the best. Teach with the quality, confidence and superior craftsmanship that the Master Classic Teaching Stethoscope delivers. Perform patient auscultation simultaneously with students in real time helping them to learn and differentiate between unfamiliar sounds. Student and teacher listen in tandem to ensure patients receive the best care. The 40-inch length allows you both to move around patients more easily. Available in black/burgundy tube coloring to distinguish between student and instructor.

NEW Littmann: 1392 Master Classic II Veterinarian Stethoscope, 32”: Animals are often treated like family, and family deserves the best. So give your four-legged or feathery patients the best care with a quality stethoscope designed just for them—the Littmann Master Classic II Veterinary Stethoscope. Veterinarians, technicians and nurses choose Littmann for their superior manufacturing, tunable diaphragm, styling and reputation for quality products. A 32-inch length on this veterinary stethoscope helps you to reach places on animals that are typically hard to access. Patented 3M Littmann Snap-Tight Soft Sealing Eartips and an anatomically designed headset give you a comfortable fit and an excellent acoustic seal for optimal sound transmission. Listen to animals small and large with this latest classic, available only with a navy blue tube.
