Crane Collapses at Oklahoma City Hospital

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Authorities say a crane has collapsed outside a northwest Oklahoma City hospital.

Battalion Fire Chief Brian Stanaland said there were no serious injuries when the crane fell shortly before 1:30 p.m. Wednesday while hoisting an air conditioning unit to the roof of Deaconess Hospital.

Ambulance company spokeswoman Lara O'Leary said the operator of the crane was treated at the scene and released.

Stanaland said several automobiles were damaged and about 10 gallons of motor oil, diesel and possibly gasoline leaked — but said the liquids are confined to the parking lot and that there is no danger.
