Zombie Ball to Raise Money for Severely Injured Texas Paramedic

LEAGUE CITY, Texas — The garage of officer Regan Pena’s house was covered in blood and resembled more of a crime scene than a fundraising effort. Good thing the blood was fake — a mixture of Kool-Aid and dish soap — but the cause they were smearing the bogus blood is as real as it gets.

Thursday, members of the League City Police Officers Association-created Carl’s Crusaders are throwing a zombie ball in its ongoing effort to help veteran officer Carl Stoddard battle cancer.
