Kentucky Building Collapse Injures Workers

PIKEVILLE, Ky. - The collapse of a Pike County highway garage under construction has injured four workers.

Video shot by WYMT-TV in Hazard shows the skeletal frame of the garage roof on the ground in the Phelps community.

The project collapsed around noon on Wednesday as the crew was setting roof trusses.

The station reported two of the four contract workers were airlifted to Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, Tenn., and two others taken to Pikeville Medical Center.

The workers' names weren't immediately available.
