Welsh Ambulance Workers Save Woman in America

SOUTH WALES, United Kingdom -- A pregnant woman has Welsh ambulance control operators to thank for the arrival of paramedics at her home in Nevada, USA.

The Welsh Ambulance Service was shocked when a 999 caller requested an ambulance for the woman on other side of the Atlantic.

The service s control room team, led by manager Rachel Burrows, from Pentwyn, Cardiff, took the 999 call from a man in the UK about his expectant American girlfriend who was at home in Nevada.
