Just about every EMS worker carries a pair of trauma shears. TheÜExtrik-8-R fromÜColumbia River Knife & Toolis a lightweight seatbelt cutter and multi-tool that will complement your shears. Its hooked seat belt cutter will cut through most clothing. Two finger holes provide a secure gripping surface, and its grip grooves allow you to use it even while wearing heavy gloves. It features simple blade and phillips screwdriver tips and a rectangular cutout is designed to be used as an oxygen wrench. The Extrik-8-R has a hand-tied, reflective, orange paracord fob. A Kydex sheath allows it to be easily carried on belts or webbing.
