Triosyn T-5000V

TriosynT500V373

When tuberculosis made its comeback in the 1990s,ÜEMS crews had to learn all about HEPA masks and fit testing. HEPA masks do a fine job of filtering the air we breathe, but the new Triosyn T-5000V does more than just trap these organisms -- it kills them. The unique properties of the Triosyn fabric include an iodine preparation that ruptures the structural proteins and membrane lipids of the organism, resulting in oxidation of the microorganism's vital interior components. The Triosyn fabric is sandwiched between fluid-resistant inner and outer layers and includes a carbon layer to reduce nuisance levels of organic vapors such as mold.
