Pa. Man Injured in Ambulance Crash

HANOVER, Pa. -- A Hanover, Pa., man was injured when his vehicle collided with a Penn Township ambulance Sunday morning in Hanover, authorities said.

Hanover Police said a 1992 Chevrolet driven by Shane Storm collided with a 2005 Ford ambulance driven by Russell Bryant, of Abbottstown, at the intersection of High and Frederick streets.

Storm was injured and was treated and released at Hanover Hospital, a hospital spokeswoman said.

At the time of the 9:10 a.m. crash, Ambulance 49-2 was responding to an emergency call in the borough and had no patients on board, said Kim Lindner, EMS lieutenant with Penn Township Volunteer Emergency Services.

Lindner said the ambulance was hit by Storm s vehicle. She said the crash was minor and has not affected ambulance service.
