Michigan EMS Program Aids Toys for Tots

Regional Emergency Medical Service employees in Michigan will station three ambulances inside the Genesee Valley shopping center in Flint Township and Courtland Center in Burton this weekend to benefit the Toys for Tots Christmas gift campaign.

Paramedic Misty Baird, who organized the event for the Flint Township-based service, said members will staff the ambulances during mall hours Friday through Sunday. They will accept new unwrapped toys, money, new rolls of wrapping paper and new rolls of tape to wrap gifts for the Marine Corps program that provides toys for needy children at Christmas.

She said EMS workers hope to fill all six of the ambulances.
