Comfort Zone byLife-Gear is a portable, lightweight blanket warming system, designed to provide the warmth and comfort of a pre-warmed blanket. Just plug the briefcase-sized device into any 110-volt outlet (it only draws 5 amps), and the blanket inside will reach and remain at 115_ while the unit is on.

After the initial 10-minute warming period, the unit can be left on and will re-warm blankets in two to three minutes. When you need a blanket, you simply open the sealed, latched lid and take it out, and the warmth of the blanket will help you combat the detrimental effects a cold environment can have on shock patients, or warm up cold patients and improve their blood flow.

Comfort Zone will also keep newborn and geriatric patients warm and comfortable. Because the ever-increasing elderly population is less able to tolerate temperature changes, it's prudent to offer thermal protection to them when they need it, even on the hottest days of the year.

Each unit comes with a blanket that has been tested and proven to hold maximum heat. The unit can also hold two hospital bath blankets or a standard stretcher blanket. Life-Gear will introduce several different versions, including a larger capacity to hold multiple blankets.
