Bio-Safe Protectant Lotion is a great product for EMTs and paramedics to use to nourish and moisturize their dry, cracked skin from repeated hand washing. ItÌs a non-greasy lotion that stays with your skin, leaving your hands feeling soft between washing despite the use of latex gloves. The manufacturer recommends reapplication every three to four hours and reports an extra line of defense against contamination from other agents, such as body fluids, harsh chemicals (such as chemical sprays) and latex sensitivity. Bio-Safe also provides a hand sanitizer they say will kill 99.9% of germs instantly, as well as lightly condition the skin.
