Larson Electronics’ Magnalight.com Introduces Magnetic Base Aluminum Mounting Tripod

Premier manufacturer and distributor of industrial grade lighting equipment and accessories Magnalight has introduced an anodized aluminum mounting tripod to its line of industrial grade mounting accessories. Designed to allow operators the flexibility of attaching lights, cameras and other electronic devices to trucks, equipment and military armored vehicles, the  MM-3 magnetic base tripod can be adapted to unusual mounting locations without the need for drilling or permanent attachment. Built to accept standard camera, night vision, and similar device mounting systems, this rugged tripod provides secure and stable temporary mounting even under demanding conditions.

The Magnalight MM-3 Aluminum Tripod with Magnetic Base provides a stable and secure mounting platform for cameras, night vision equipment, range finders, and any electrical devices equipped with standard mounting systems. Built from rugged anodized aluminum and fitted with three 5” diameter magnetic mounting feet, this tripod provides 600 lbs of gripping force and can support 40lbs of equipment securely without movement or slippage. Each leg on this magnetic tripod is fully articulated with 90 degrees of movement and each magnetic foot is connected to the leg via a ball stud that allows 20 degrees of angle and 360 degrees articulation. This extreme articulation allows operators to mount these adjustable tripods in locations on vehicles with uneven surfaces, particularly military vehicles where shielding and specialized designs prevent the easy attachment of standard mounting platforms. A center mounting post holds the device mounting platform and is adjustable vertically to allow operators to increase the height of the mounted equipment if desired up to a total of 18”. The center mounting post is fitted with a platform predrilled with two 3/8 inch diameter mounting holes and two 2 inch long x 1/4 inch wide slide slots to accommodate most standard mount cameras, lights and night vision devices. This magnetic mounting platform is highly versatile and can be mounted to any ferrous metal surface at any angle or position including vertically and horizontally without shifting or loosening under aggressive driving conditions. This magnetic mount tripod conforms to Navy SPAWAR specifications, constructed of anodized aluminum with stainless steel hardware for protection against corrosion, and weighs less than three pounds, making it an ideal choice for military and law enforcement applications where an easily deployed yet reliable device mounting platform is needed.

“In the event that an operator needs the strength of a permanent mount, with the portability of a temporary mount, the MM-3 tripod mount meets that need.” said Robert Bresnahan with Larson Electronics’ Magnalight.com.  “The MM3 is completely machined in-house and offers 600 pounds of gripping force along with durable, adjustable, aluminum legs that will enable the operator to securely mount high value optical and lighting devices on both flat and uneven surfaces.”

Larson Electronics’ Magnalight.com offers a wide selection of light towers, mounting accessories, explosion proof lights, mounting brackets, and a wide array of industrial grade lighting and electrical equipment.
