ImageTrend, Inc. hosted its Third Annual Emergency Data Systems (EDS) User’s Conference July 20 to 22 where it unveiled a major upcoming software release. More than 200 ImageTrend EDS users gathered in Bloomington, MN to exchange ideas and forge the future in emergency data collection and usage.
Attendees learned of the upcoming Version 5 release of the company’s Emergency Data Systems software. ImageTrend representatives Eric Kaphingst and Justin Dillard wowed attendees as they unveiled the new Version 5 collection during the Welcome Reception Wednesday evening. Donning light-blue 1960’s style tuxes, Kaphingst and Dillard put on a magic show while talking about the powerful features today’s EMS and Rescue professionals will soon receive. With Version 5, ImageTrend brings data collection to sleek new slates and ruggedized laptops for field operations, or desktop PCs for reporting and analysis.
At the conference, emergency personnel, representing 103 organizations from 30 states, gained knowledge on how to effectively use electronic data collection software and reports to improve patient care, fire prevention and emergency preparedness. They also learned new tips and tricks of the software and networked with leaders in the emergency community. Additionally, attendees were able to interact with product experts and experience the latest in data collection technology and practices.

Based on positive feedback from attendees, plans have already begun for the Fourth Annual EDS Conference. The company plans a 2012 Conference to be held during dates similar to those of the 2011 Conference.
