TORQ61

"Scene safe, BSI" is the mantra EMT students use to start every practical scenario. If youÌve worked in a busy, urban EMS system, you know that announcing a scene is safe is a far cry from reality. The debate over the need for EMTs and paramedics to wear body armor will undoubtedly continue forever. However, the new TORQ61 from American Body Armor has taken away some of the ongoing criticism. Made from Dyneema, the new 5-mm material is 40%-percent stronger than Aramid fibers, 15 times stronger than steel and offers long-overdue flexibility in a concealable body armor.
