SANTA FE, N.M. - Santa Fe police say one woman is dead in a crash involving an ambulance and a car on Interstate 25 south of Santa Fe.

Police Chief Aric Wheeler says a driver was headed the wrong way on the interstate and crashed head-on into the ambulance about 2:30 Tuesday morning.

Police say one of the women in the car was killed. No names have been released.

Police shut down the interstate in the area.
