CALABOGIE, Ont. — Two people are dead after a car collided with an ambulance on a rural road west of Ottawa.
Ontario provincial police say the crash occurred around 4:30 p.m. Saturday on Calabogie Road between the communities of Calabogie and Burnstown.
The car's two occupants were killed.
The two paramedics in the ambulance were sent to hospital with minor injuries. There were no patients on board.
Police say a preliminary investigation suggests the car was headed south and veered in front of the northbound ambulance.
Roads in the area were wet at the time of the crash. (CHVR)
