POCASSET, Okla. -- Three pipeline workers were injured when a natural gas pipeline owned by a subsidiary of Oklahoma Gas and Electric exploded in Grady County.
Oklahoma Corporation Commission spokesman Matt Skinner says the Enogex LLC pipeline exploded late Tuesday morning as the three worked on a device that removes water from the line.
Skinner and OG&E spokesman Brian Alford said the extent of the workers' injuries was not known.
Integris Baptist Medical Center spokeswoman Brooke Cayot says one of the workers who was flown from the scene by a medical helicopter arrived at the Oklahoma City hospital about noon. Cayot didn't know the worker's condition.
Alford says the cause of the blast has not been determined.
Skinner says the explosion occurred about four miles west of Pocasset, which is about 30 miles southwest of Oklahoma City.
