Texas Paramedic Killed in Fiery Ambulance Crash

Medic, patient and passenger killed in rollover near Carlsbad

SAN ANGELO, Texas - Three people, including a paramedic, were killed in a crash involving an ambulance while it was transporting a patient to a local hospital.

San Angelo LIVE! reported that Paraemdic Raymond Bernard Allison, 52, was among those killed when the ambulance he was in reportedly lost control on an icy patch of U.S. 87 near Carlsbad.

The ambulance was enroute to the Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo when the crash occured. The patient, 45-year-old Jose Cruz Gonzales Gurrola and passenger Anacleto Gonzalez Gurrola, 43, were also killed.

Joann Adamiak Moore, 45, was driving the ambulance at the time of the crash. She was transported to Shannon Medical Center

The Texas Department of Public Safety reported that the ambulance lost control on the ice and slid off the left side of the highway. The driver overcorrected, crossing both lanes before sliding off the right side of the highway and overturning. DPS stated that the ambulance came to rest upside down and burst into flames.

The incident is under investigation by the DPS and Texas Highway Patrol.
