MARYVILLE, Tenn. - An elderly man has been rescued from his car, where he was trapped for 11 hours after it ran off a Blount County road.
Marvin Hoyt Adams of Maryville was taken to University of Tennessee Medical Center after he was found Tuesday morning, reported The Daily Times.Police said the injuries were not life-threatening.
The Blount County Sheriff's Office says the 85-year-old Adams ran off a local road during a downpour late Monday night. His car ran down a steep embankment and struck a tree.
A motorist spotted the car Tuesday morning and called police.
