LONGMEADOW, Mass. - Firefighters say seven children have been hurt in a school bus accident in Longmeadow but their injuries are not considered serious.
Fire Capt. Andrew Fraser tells The Republican of Springfield that a bus was involved in an accident at about 8:20 a.m. on Tuesday. He says the occupants, some complaining of leg and neck pain, were taken to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Fraser says the children appear to be of elementary school age.
Police did not immediately provide any information.
A school official said the children did not appear to be public school students.
